Last Day at Sorrento Hotel

Today was the last Tuesday for the Josh Rawlings Trio's residency at the Sorrento Hotel. While I'm confident they'll have us back when they can afford to hire the trio again, I'm kind of sad because our last Tuesday was soooo good! Because of our regular night at the hotel, I can honestly say that the Trio has never sounded better. We completely rock the room and delight our audiences every time we play. The bartender said that people ask about our group more than any other music act playing at the Hotel. The entire staff seemed sad to see us leave for the month of August, but I'm certain they'll be presuring the higher-up's to get us back in the mix as soon as possible. It's funny how regular gigs can come and go, and how you can leave a mark and have strong memories about certain places around town. We'll be back at the Sorrento Hotel sooner or later, but our time there was well spent and I'm really looking forward to putting the CD release together at Bake's Place (my fingers are crossed, but with a killer trio like mine...I shouldn't have to cross 'em). Thanks to all who came out and supported Nate, Adam and I for our weekly gig over the past 3-4 months. 'Till the next gig!

Oh, for those of you who are interested...the Trio will be playing on August 10th at Pike Place Market for the Sunset Supper event. We were asked back for a 2nd year now and I can tell you this is a very fun Pike Place Market event that you won't forget. Check their website for details, but I think you have to reserve a dinner reservation. Come out and taste, see and hear Pike Place Market like you've never experianced it before. This really is a cool event.
